Trees on land you wish to develop

Greenspaces can supply your BS5837 tree surveys, including arboricultural method statements, impact assessments, tree protection and constraints plans to help determine the layout of your development whilst retaining any trees of merit or value.

BS5837 reports are generally required when a development is proposed which may have a direct or indirect impact on existing trees, either on site or on adjacent property, that are considered as being within influencing distance.

Greenspaces can supply these plans to the standard expected by your Planning Authority and, if required, deal with the tree element of your application on your behalf.

Arboricultural supervision can be provided where required or where stipulated in the Conditions of your Planning Consent. Greenspaces can also carry out site audits to ensure tree protection is adequate and in place as agreed with the Planning Dept. This ensures the development flows through the construction phase without tree related issues such as Enforcement intervention or stop notices being served.

Greenspaces can also design your development's tree planting detail as part of your Planning Application or Planning Permission Condition. Including maintenance schedules and methodology statements we can provide all the documents you need to discharge any relevant Planning Conditions.

Tree Condition Surveys

Providing concise and accurate tree condition surveys in order to fulfil your legal obligations in terms of the Occupiers Liability Acts 1957 & 1984 and Highways Act 1980 is one of our specialisms.

Greenspaces can supply detailed location plans and tailor the survey to meet your needs including detailed surveys for camp sites, estates, housing organisations and local Authorities who might need additional information incorporated into the survey.

In addition to a trees condition, survey data can also include such details as a tree's protective status, proximity to property or utilities, obstructions to highway and footway, suitability to location or any other field you might find useful.

With electronic decay detection equipment available if required and aerial inspections of individual trees optional our Tree Condition Survey can be as detailed as you or your organisation requires.

Tree Planting Plans

Greenspaces can source trees in all sizes from nursery whips to extra heavy standard and semi-mature examples for instant impact. We can also offer auditing services to ensure your trees are planted and maintained in accordance with the British Standard BS8545:2014 (Trees From Nursery to Independence in The Landscape).

Knowledge of the required utility searches when planting in the urban environment gives us an understanding of the below ground constraints and the hardware needed to ensure plant survival.

Works are considered in tandem with your legal obligations and with emphasis, for example, on such areas as biodiversity, natural play and sustainability being a driving force.

This service can be up scaled for Local Authorities, Housing Associations or similar and can be used to reinforce your commitment to Policy or to add value to you residential and recreational areas.
